Hosting a Seder? Thinking about Passover? Need a open-source 30-min Haggadah to print quickly?

March 31, 2011

Maxwell House won’t cut it this year? Ready for a change? How about ready to start hosting? Well, I have a few ideas for you to celebrate Passover in ways that might work for you…

How about your own 30-minute The Wandering is Over Haggadah? This Passover seder created by David Levy both a proud board member of Keshet and Jewish Boston extraordinaire. His thirty-minute Haggadah includes optional supplements, discussions, and Passover songs. Think it’s too long? Not long enough? You can choose either the PDF version or the Microsoft Word option, which enables you to add or delete whatever you’d like.

A look at what Asher Gellis' JQ International's queer Seder plate might look like...

Interested in a GLBT specific Haggadah instead or to mix and match with others? Well, this is a fantastic  Haggadah co-created by my friends in Southern California at JQ International and HUC-JIR’s Institute for Judaism & Sexual Orientation.

Have no plans of your own but want to meet a few nice folks to celebrate Passover with? A few lay leaders with Federations’ LGBT Alliance are coordinating their own Fun for Faygelehs San Francisco second night of Passover dinner as well as Congregation Sha’ar Zahav is hosting a seder on April 19 too. Plenty more Passover options abound on the community calendar hosted by San Francisco based Jewish Federation.

Go ahead, have Passover your way. I for sure will.
